Visitor Restrictions

11/09/2021 by kemperwebteam

We care about our patients and employees and are taking all possible measures to reduce risk of COVID-19.  With that in mind, WHCPC is following additional guidelines and protocols:

  • Masks are required for all who enter the building and must be worn throughout the visit.
  • TWO support persons per patients
  • Patients and visitors will be screened upon entry into the facility.
  • Visitors must be 16 years old or older.
  • Video visits or telephone consults continue to be an option when possible and appropriate.
  • Patients with any symptoms of COVID-19 are encouraged to contact their OB physician.
  • Schedule a COVID-19 drive-up test from Deaconess. Multiple locations are available.

We appreciate our patients support and understanding as we navigate this difficult situation. We want to do everything possible to reduce risk of spreading COVID-19.

Executive Order 20-26 from Governer Holcomb

05/12/2020 by kemperwebteam

Plan To Keep Employees, Providers & Patients Safe During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Screening Processes and Universal Masking Policy

☐  All patients and visitors will be screened upon entry to The Women’s Hospital.  Screening includes questionnaire related to COVID-19 symptoms and exposure.

☐  Patients and visitors will be required to wear a mask.  Those without a mask will be provided one for use while in the facility.

☐  All employees, physicians, vendors and contractors will wear a mask.  This includes an appropriate combination of cloth and procedural masks.

Enhanced cleaning and Disinfection Protocols

☐  Staff will disinfect high-touch areas and objects (door knobs, telephones, etc.) multiple times throughout the day.

☐  Waiting room furniture is cleaned using hospital-grade disinfectant multiple times daily.

☐  Routine infection prevention cleaning and disinfecting between patient use continues in clinical exam rooms.

Hand Hygiene and social distancing

☐  Throughout our facility, upon entry, in waiting areas and patient care areas, hand sanitizer shall be made available and encouraged for use.

☐  Clinical staff will use routine hand hygiene procedures (gel-in/gel-out in patient care areas).

☐  Non-clinical staff are encouraged to use frequent hand hygiene.

☐  Patients and visitors are encouraged to use frequent hand hygiene.

☐  Visual cues for patients, visitors and employees will be utilized to encourage individuals to remain 6 feet apart.  This includes signage and floor stickers.

☐  Waiting room furniture will be spaced out to encourage social distancing.

☐  Waiting room volumes will be monitored carefully.  If more than 10 people are in waiting room, patients will be asked to wait in car.

This plan is posted in compliance with Executive Order 20-26 from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.

WHCPC Welcomes Dr. Carrye Troyer Daum

07/24/2017 by kemperwebteam

Meet Dr. Carrye Troyer Daum, or, if you’re from this area, perhaps you’ve already met her. An Evansville native, Dr. Daum is a second generation Ob/Gyn at WHCPC. She is the daughter of WHCPC’s highly-respected Brenda A. Troyer, M.D., FACOG. Dr. Daum shares, “My interest in Ob/Gyn began in my childhood, with my mother as a role model. Her intelligence, compassion, relationships with patients, and the joy that Ob/Gyn brought her inspired me to follow in her footsteps.” Dr. Daum adds, “Being a mother myself, I have a special interest in obstetrics and sharing these important milestones with my patients and their families. However, I also value the opportunity to care for women through all stages of their lives.”

Dr. Daum, a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, completed her residency at University of South Carolina Palmetto Health Center. She looks forward to reconnecting with her hometown roots and practicing in the community that, in her own words, “raised her.” Welcome home, Dr. Daum!

Dr. Carrye Troyer Daum is accepting patients. Please call (812) 858-4600 .
